Fire crews are currently working to contain a bushfire burning near Tolga.
As of 11am September 28. Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews are currently on scene at a vegetation fire burning near Anderson Road, Marnane Road, Kippin Road, Tolga.
The fire broke out on Saturday 26 September and is posing no threat to property at this time. Fire crews continue to conduct backburning operations in the area.
Smoke is affecting the area and may impact Oaky Valley and Springmount throughout the day. Nearby residents may be affected by a smoke haze. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.
Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
