With restrictions slowly starting to lift across Queensland and the Tablelands, The Express Newspaper has now reopened our office fulltime.
For the past few weeks the staff at The Express Newspaper have been working remotely and from home to keep you updated on news as it was breaking.
Editor and owner of The Express Newspaper Carl Portella said that past few weeks have been challenging for a number of reasons. “Working from home when trying to run a newspaper is challenging, but also trying to keep on top of all the COVID updates that were coming out was also a challenge.”
“Sometimes the news was changing every 30 minutes and I believe we rose to the challenge and kept all Tablelanders informed in a timely manner”
Carl is also happy to put a few rumours to rest “We are still publishing our paper every week. We are not going online only and our news has always been free and always will be.”
“This is our tenth year of operation and it’s also been our most challenging, but I believe we have been through the worst of it and we are now looking forward to another happy and successful ten years.”
Now that restrictions have eased across the state, The Express office is now back open 8.30am to 5pm, five days a week.
