Over the next two weekends, the Atherton Men’s shed will be holding two major fundraisers.
The first is this Saturday morning February 29 with a giant garage sale.
Secretary of the Atherton Men’s shed John Whyte said there will be lots of tools for sale “We get a lot of tools donated to us from other people, sometimes we have too many or maybe we can’t use them, so we have are having a garage sale to clear out some of our excess tools with all money going back to the Men’s shed”
“There’s also Bric-à-Brac, books, magazines and we have lots of indoor and outdoor furniture that has either been donated or that we have made.”
The garage sale is at the Men’s Shed at 1 railway lane, Atherton from 8 am till 12 this Saturday.

The second fundraiser is the following Friday night March 6, with the first Cruise-in for 2020.
The Atherton Men’s shed started in 2011 and since then they have has five Cruise-ins per year, this is where local motoring enthusiasts get to show off their unique, antique, classic cars, trucks and motorbikes.
The Cruise-in kicks off at 6 pm and admission is free for the whole the family.
